Central Texas’s Asian pop culture festival goes all in for year three, featuring 100+ vendors and markets around anime, K-pop, gaming, street food and more
(AUSTIN, TEXAS — July 9, 2026; source: Juice Consulting) — The Lunar Foundation officially announces the date for this year’s NightMarket.fun (NM.F), returning to Lakeline Park (1510 Alexis Dr, Cedar Park, TX 78613) this Saturday, Nov. 14. From 4 - 10 p.m., attendees will also be able to experience 120+ dishes from dozens of kitchens featuring bold flavors from across Asia, two stages of music, dance and martial arts, Cinema by the Lake, a kids’ zone, trading card and collector market and more. Built by The Lunar Foundation and the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce, and now an official City of Cedar Park event, NightMarket.fun is a festival by the community, for the community. “Central Texas is home to some of the most exciting AANHPI artists anywhere, and their creativity deserves both a real audience and a real livelihood,” said Andrew Lee, co-founder and executive director of The Lunar Foundation. "We built NightMarket.fun with the Asian Chamber and the City of Cedar Park to turn that creative work into careers people can build on. Watching our whole community celebrate it together, from longtime neighbors to visitors traveling in from across the state and beyond, is what makes this so much more than a festival.”
For this year’s NM.F, in addition to the vendors and markets available to attendees, there will also be an eating competition as well as Cinema by the Lake, a four-hour outdoor showcase highlighting Asian cinema from across the diaspora. Eventgoers are invited to design, draw and submit their very own pocket monster (submissions opening soon), which they can hunt and catch at the event. NM.F will also feature the Empress Lounge, a quiet space for nursing mothers, and wellness information for women from many different Asian cultures (e.g. yoga poses for menstrual cramps; post-partum rituals in different cultures, etc).
“NightMarket.Fun is a magical community event and GAACC is delighted to once again partner with The Lunar Foundation and Cedar Park to bring this exciting Asian festival to Greater Austin,” said Mark Duval, President and CEO of GAACC.
NM.F is thrilled to also announce the renewal of a three-year partnership with Cedar Park. After a capacity-breaking year one, NM.F moved festivities to Lakeline Park in Cedar Park, doubling their programming and their attendance. Event presenters The Lunar Foundation and GAACC exist to make Asian pop culture accessible at a professional level, curated by local AANHPI artists who live and breathe it every day. NM.F is the community's chance to experience Asian pop culture presented the way it deserves, with real production behind it, with a professional stage for the Texan artists, chefs, performers, and creators who are actually shaping where the culture is going.
"We're excited to welcome NightMarket.fun back to Cedar Park for a second year as an official City sponsored event,” said Mike DeVito, Director of Parks & Recreation, City of Cedar Park. “What began as a successful partnership has quickly become one of our community's signature cultural celebrations, bringing together incredible food, art, music and local businesses in one unforgettable experience. Events like NightMarket.fun showcase Cedar Park's commitment to creating vibrant, diverse spaces where people from all backgrounds can connect, celebrate diverse cultures and enjoy everything our community has to offer. We look forward to building on last year's success and welcoming even more residents and visitors to Lakeline Park this November.”
